I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME!

When the Cruise Director announced debarkation instructions we all just sat down and kind of looked at each other in silence for a few moments.  We knew the fun was over, and it was time for the packing & tagging to commence.  Things were kind of quiet and solemn in the cabin as we went along our tasks, trying to figure out how in the world we were going to get everything we'd brought with us along with all the souvenirs we'd accumulated!  I had to buy this nice huge tote to help!  Oh, you know someone had to twist my arm pretty hard for me to buy that tote!  Good thing my new friend and cabin mate Debra brought along her little red collapsible wagon!

I was invited along on the little adventure by my cousins Alice and Marie.  They live about 10 hrs. away from me in another state. And we rarely get to see each other except when we vacation together. While we were waiting to disembark I hugged them both and the tears started flowing.  I knew it would be a long time before I see them again and I just did not want to let them go!

Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but as a retired Great Grandmother raising a tow headed little 6 yr. old boy (I adopted my grandson) and having three other "grown" kids living in my small abode, a little more time would have been great!
